hajbijit,

cor-el gave you the correct link (mycroftproject.com) however, included an additional add-on. You can go to the link above and download a search engine (no additional add-ons/extensions will be installed) to put in your Quick Search bar.

I didn't find the Search Engine there that I want. Its www.pipilika.com Its a whole new search engine from my country. How to add this in the search bar??? I have another 2 Search Engines which aren't so recognized that I can download or installed them from internet.

Ah, pipilika! Yes, I've heard about that. It's a new search engine in Bangalesh. Unfortunately, it's not available to be added at the moment. I visited the website and couldn't add it using the add-on link cor-el gave OR able to find it using the MyCroftProject link

A workaround, since the engine is new and not widely known, is to set your new tab to open up this search engine.. If you would like to do that you can do so below

  1. Go to about:config via the Address Bar (Ctrl + L)
  2. Press the button saying you'll be careful
  3. Search for browser.newtab.url
  4. Right click it then click Modify. Erase the existing string (default is about:newtab) and replace it with http://www.pipilika.com
  5. Click OK then restart Firefox.

Yes its new. I've another 2 new Search Engines that I want to add in the Search Bar. The solution you provided doesn't help me. Because it'll change the new tab into this website. But I want it in the search bar. How to add this??

Can I do something in the about:config??? Please tell me.

It works for me via the location bar if I use "Add a Keyword for this search" in the right-click context menu of that search field.

Can u please provide a screenshot of "Add a Keyword for this search"? I didn't find any "Add a Keyword for this search" anywhere.

See:

There are three URL types Firefox supports:

* type="text/html" is used to specify the URL for the actual search query itself.
* type="application/x-suggestions+json" is used to specify the URL to use for fetching search suggestions.
* type="application/x-moz-keywordsearch" is used to specify the URL used when a keyword search is entered in the location bar. This is not supported on Internet Explorer.

SearchForm
The URL to go to to open up the search page at the site for which the plugin is designed to search. This provides a way for Firefox to let the user visit the web site directly.

Reference and Plugin category are for the Mycroft Project site, so they know when you update a search engine and in what categories it to place.
