Sync not working between Linux and Android
I have recently installed Firefox 30 on my Linux laptop (Centos 6.4) and on an Android tablet (Gemini GEM1000 with Android 4.2.2). No matter what I do, I cannot sync my tablet with the 300+ bookmarks on my laptop.
Firstly, I created a Firefox Sync Account on the laptop. I then synced my bookmarks and preferences only (I don't generally get Firefox to remember passwords for sites). So far, so good.
On the tablet, I began to set up Sync by logging in to my Sync account. This worked and displayed the message "Account verified. Your data will begin syncing momentarily." And that is all that has happened. FF on the tablet says it is syncing but no bookmarks appear. I cannot find the 12-character sync code needed to pair the device with my laptop. None of the instructions on the support pages (e.g. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-a-device-to-firefox-sync) work.
I can find my recovery key on the laptop but can't find it on the tablet. Nor can I find any way of entering that code on the tablet.
It seems this problem existed with FF 29 (which I also tried a couple of weeks ago) and led to a Bugzilla report being filed.
What have I done wrong?

Hi Colin Brett, In the new sync, there is no recovery key. In order to update to the new sync on the desktop you will have to remove all the accounts on the desktop. The article you want is How to update to the new Firefox Sync

Hi guigs2,
Apologies for the delay in replying. I've been away without my laptop for a few days.
Your solution worked fine.
Many thanks for your assistance.
