When going to a bank site firefox adds an addition www.
When I type in my banks url, firefox adds an addition www. I have deleted my saved url and manually typed in the address, but it still adds the extra www. I can go to explorer and it works fine. This is the only website that I go to that is affected. The address is www.awbank.net

https://www.awbank.net/ is the correct URL of that bank website. It is always best to use a secure https link in case of bank websites.
What is wrong with the www. prefix?
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Can you make a copy of your address bar after you press enter?
Some users have reported issues with Conduit. Disabling it and try again.
Thank you for your help. I used the"remove Cookies" suggestion and for the first time in over 2 weeks I am now able to access my banks web site with Firefox. Thank you again.
