Clearing private data does not clear Firefox Search history.
Firefox Search history, is not cleared when using the "Clear private data" option in Firefox. My Firefox app is setup to clear all private data when hitting quit from main menu, this also has no effect on Firefox Search data.
The page explaining the feature seems to imply that it should work? http://mzl.la/1ApHLFR
Thank you.

Hi jonnassd
This was fixed in firefox 39 for android:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1124884#c15 (big thanks to jayelbe for filing the bug!)
If you can't wait until ff39 is released in June:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease/Calendar
you can start testing the fix in the PRE-RELEASE (which it means it can have bugs) NIGHTLY build in the next couple of days (it takes a few days for the fix to make it's way into the nightly builds, so wait until Friday Feb 27):
Cheers!

Hi Jonnassd,
Thanks for spotting this. I've logged a bug about this issue: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1124884
In Firefox Search, you can remove an item from your search history by swiping it off the side of the screen, or by pressing the cog icon at the bottom-right to clear your entire history at once. I'll see if we can add this info to the article you linked to.
Cheers!

Cool.
It's not a urgent issue for me, I'll wait.
Thanks for the quick reply, fix, and the explanations.
Cheers.
It is not fixed! I have to quit 3 times before it removes the data!
