Is Waterfox a good 64bit Firefox browser?
I installed Waterfox because I am running a 64bit computer. Just wondering if that is such a good idea or not? It has hung on me a couple of times and don't know why. I have used with great satisfaction Firefox for years, but it isn't 64bit, and thought Waterfox would be faster, but doesn't seem to be much different if at all.

I think there are some operations that really benefit from a 64-bit application. For example, large models in Excel that involve a lot of computations. I'm not sure what kinds of browsing benefit from 64-bit computing.
Anyway, we aren't knowledgeable here about Waterfox-specific issues. They do support on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/waterfox

There is no real difference to running 64bit for users. I would never suggest waterfox as it makes lots of changes to Firefox that aren't properly tested. If you want x64 Firefox, wait a few weeks, and download it from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/.

The third-party options of Win64 builds of Firefox releases will be less of a option soon.
Firefox 41.0 may be the first Release to have Win64 (64-bit) alongside the 32-bit builds for Windows.
