When I´m browsing Facebook, it loads very slow, the chat dissapears and doesn´t fix no matter how many times I refresh the page. So I have to often close down Firefox, which is very annoying. Second of all, no matter how long the videos on Facebook are, from a few seconds to minutes, it takes ages to load (sometimes it doesn´t load at all). My internet connection is at 50/50 Mbit/s so there´s nothing wrong with my connection.

Quick answer or help will be appreciated!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

You can check the Network log in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to see how long it takes to load content.

You can use Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

Tried all the tips above, but none of them are improving anything.

What security software (Anti-Virus software, firewall) do you have?

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
