Since second install of Firefox on a Win PC I now always see the "Almost done!" screen on both PCs.

I have done a second install of FF on a Win XP laptop and since then I noticed that every time I start FF I get the "Almost done!" screen. My initial install is on a WIN 7 PC and it too now offers that screen every time I start FF. I have entered details but there is no clear option -- like an "OK" button -- of what to do after completing the "Almost done!" screen.

I have created an account and password but I am never prompted for a password and I do not see where to sign in or what signing in achieves since FF runs as normal with this extra tab opened that seems to need attention.

You can check the home page setting

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
