Using shortcut instructions doesn't work. When I try to open shortcut, it takes me to Firefox but doesn't open th link. It opens a new blank tab.

I previously had a webpage shortcut on my desktop which worked fine long term. Now all of a sudden, when I click on the shortcut, it takes me to Firefox and appears to be connecting but then a new tab appears that is blank.

I deleted the shortcut and tried putting a new shortcut multiple times with the same thing happening each time.

Only way to open this website is to go directly from Firefox.

Please explain in simple terms, I am not an advanced user.

so from my point of view you are using a shortcut to access a web page right?

Ok change it

Instead of having a shortcut you make a bookmark the page if it's a page that you use daily then place it on the bookmark bar.

press ALT > View > Tool Bar and select bookmark bar to see it if doesn't show

better this way then having a shortcut and if will for sure solve your current of future problems!!!
