Ipage host email using zoho mail, want to change to thunderbird and import all information

more options

i use ipage as my domain host and email is on their server. I have used Zoho as my email client online.. now I have purchased thunderbird and want to bring over history of emails to my thunderbird email client and can't figure out how to import the files in a zip folder exported by zoho to my folders on thunderbird.

Also if my email is routing via zoho now will they go to both places, because my setting on thunderbird are via pop 3 and none of my new emails are showing up at all

thank you

Umm ... you've purchased Thunderbird? Where? It's available for free download: www.getthunderbird.com As far as I can see from this page Zoho stores emails in .eml format: https://www.zoho.com/mail/help/import-export-emails.html If so, import into Thunderbird should be straightforward. You'll need to unzip the file you've been sent, it should contain files (in folders?) with .eml suffixes. Install the Thunderbird add-on ImportExportTools and you can import them into your Thunderbird account. I notice that that Zoho page only offers to export some emails. Are you sure you have all the ones you need? If the Zoho and Thunderbird settings are both for POP mail, then new messages won't come to Thunderbird unless you have set Zoho to leave them on the server. If you want to use both clients with the same account you should look into the advantages of IMAP.
