My email has become victim to email spoofing. I am receiving lots of 'undelivered mail' messages resulting from various spam emails I haven't sent. are there any security settings I can use? I understand an SPF might help? or DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance), but I have no idea if I can set either of these up, or if these have to set up at the recipients end, not mine?

Any advise gratefully received!

Many Thanks

As I understand it, you implement these at the server level and it's not something you or I can easily do for ourselves.

Like signing and encryption, there is always the challenge of proving you are who your certificate says you are. I think it would not be right for DMARC and SPF to allow self certification. If it were simple to set up, spammers would be (ab)using it too.
