The other day I watched a couple of videos online about making carrot cake. Since then, whenever I open the browser, the audio from a web site playing carrot cake recipe directions comes on - audio only, no video. When that recipe audio finishes, the sound from a different web site's carrot cake recipe comes on. When that finishes, a new carrot cake recipe audio from yet another web site comes on. And so it goes. It seems to be on a continuous path of playing carrot cake recipe audio tracks. Do I have to uninstall firefox to make this stop? What data will I lose if I do that? Is there another way to make this stop?

Sounds like an issue with the player on those websites. Also, When you start Firefox, are all tabs loading at the same time? (For example my Firefox only loads my open tab, and the other tabs only when I click on them) Have you updated to version 50 yet?

That could be the expected behaviour of Firefox at present. It depends on exactly what the situation is with the tab. The next version of Firefox Fx51 out in six weeks or so changes how audio playing is handled in Tabs. This article may be of interest

Meanwhile look for the tab and click on the speaker icon in the tab to mute it.

(Not sure you but if it is FlashPlayer content you may also need to turn of its annoying autoplay feature)

This is not a cure, but should let the web page load without crashing.

Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it

Does this happen when you're on one particular website   ?
And if so,   could you give us a link to that site   ?
