Firefox opens to a page asking me to donate. Can't access anything else. Tried refreshing & got a msg about setting up sync. Don't know what this means.

When I try to open Firefox I only get a page asking me to donate. Can only close that page. Went to Support and tried to Refresh. Then I got a box telling me Sync is ready to set up. I didn't ask for Sync. When I close that, it goes back to the page asking me to donate again. In a loop of some sort that I can't get out of. I want to talk to a tech person but can't find a number anywhere.

Hi MBurks, Firefox's built-in home page often has a campaign this time of year to raise funds. But that should appear below the search box and not block you from using Firefox. If you're getting a different page, could you try using the address bar to go to a site you want to visit? Or is the address bar missing??

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Opened in Safe Mode as well; same issue. It may be a simple answer, but I can't find it. Basically, I had it set up where AOL came up when I clicked on the Firefox icon. The Mozilla donation page will let me go to AOL after I type in the AOL address in the address bar. How do I get back to where it goes to AOL when I click on Firefox?

Hi MBurks, please use the steps in the following article to make AOL your home page: How to set the home page. Does that fix it?
