Today my firefox has chosen to to have Bing as the overide search tool. I have checked my add-ons, gone through my add/remove on windows 10 and not only disabled Bing for the search box but even removed it. None of this has worked.

Bing dos not work for me AT ALL and this is testing my patience and loyalty to Firefox. Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Thanks in advance

A Firefox extension could be something like: SafeSearch Incognito or SearchAssist Incognito

That was it!! Found it removed it and now all is working.

Thx very much Cor-el!

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Bing “ Anything. Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Thx FredMcD for the come back.

I tried that before posting. Just checked again in my extentions and I have nothing with Bing there nor do I have it in my Uninstall Programs list. As it happens I've cleared Bing on Edge - ironic as that's MSFT - but still no joy on Firefox... Welcome any other ideas..
