I tried Firefox 57.0b7 on my ASUS T102HA Windows 10 tablet. It is equipped with a touch screen, Atom x5-Z8350 and Win 10 64-bit build 16299.15. Compared with Microsoft Edge performance, the Firefox is amazing me. It's very smooth to play YouTube and Facebook live videos. Switching videos to full screen is also much smooth than Edge. Swiping web pages is also smooth. The only weakness of the Firefox compared to Edge is the web page zoom in/out performance. Zooming in/out web pages by "two-finger pinch" gesture on the touch screen is very smooth on Edge but laggy on the Firefox. Please improve Firefox's zoom in/out performance. Thanks.

I find the zoom performance difference reason between Firefox and Edge. When pinching web pages in Firefox, Firefox will change the zoom level and re-layout the web pages, which slow down the zoom performance significantly.

However, in Edge, pinching doesn't change the zoom level but maintain the web page layouts and resize them. So, after zooming in, you will see the window horizontal scrollbars of Edge often appear...

Could Firefox provide a pinch zoom mode that won't relayout web pages for better zoom performance? It will be useful for some low-end Windows tablets.

Sorry, I find when zooming in, Firefox also shows horizontal scrollbar. I am not sure why Edge has a better zoom performance...
