The lack of TabMixPlus in Firefox 57 breaks my common pattern: everything entered into urlbar (address bar) or search bar opens in a new tab instead of replacing the current active tab. Is there any extension or about:config option to force Firefox 57 to always open entered URLs and searches in a new tab? I looked through about:config options but found nothing to resolve this.

Does not 3 Bar Menu --> Options Or copy/paste about:preferences into Address Bar then enter Under the page that opens General then down the page to Tabs and removing the ticks not do what you want ?

Please uninstall your Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 it is a giant security risk. Flash Player Version: 27.0.0.187 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

I am in the same boat. I found a listing about config to open bookmarks in a new tab, but I cannot find anything to open URL bar in a new tab. I was a user a TabMixPlus, but since the update it is kaput. The about: preferences does not allow you to customize tab opening to that degree. I am looking for about:config option or the name of an extension that works like TabMixPlus.
