WHO ON EARTH PRODUCES AN UPDATE THAT FUNDEMANTALLY CHANGES THE WAY SOFTWARE WORKS WITHOUT WARNING THE BLOODY USER. ALL MY LINKS ARE GONE I WANT FIREFOX
YOU HAVE JUST AUTOMATICALLY UPDATED FIREFOX. I DO NOT WANT IT. I HAVE CONTINUALLY REJECTED THE UPDATE FROM THE SOFTWARE. MY SHORTCUTS FROM THE TOOLBAR ARE GONE. SOME ADDONS DO NOT WORK WITH THIS VERSION.
I NEED TO ROLL THIS BACK TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION, AND I GUESS WHEN I DO ALL MY BOOKMARKS, PASSWORDS WILL DISAPPEAR TOO.
YOU MUST CHECK WITH USERS BEFORE YOU IMPOSE YOUR VISION OF YOUR SOFTWARE ON THEM . I AM AN IT MANAGER I WOULD SACK / FIRE THE PERSON WHO RELEASED THIS WITHOUT GIVING THE END USER A CHOICE TO USE AS IS. YOUR CHANGE TEAM SHOULD BE SACKED .
SO ANNOYED, IF I WANTED MY BROWSER TO LOOK LIKE CHROME I WOULD HAVE INSTALLED THAT YOU MUPPETS.

First, Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar. Under Advanced, Select Update.
[v56+] Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Select Update.
Select Never Check For Updates.
Also turn off Use a background service to install updates
Install Older Version Of Firefox {web link} Be sure to read everything here.
If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

Am going to say all caps is rude and am sure you know internet etiquette. SO that being said and all Firefox Support are Volunteers that need to be treated with respect due to them for helping others and you.........
Reason why was a forced update as has to do with the Intel and other chips and the security vulnerability that has been on the front page of every news site the last several days. Mozilla is doing it's part in mitigating any attacks with the update :

Also there was Windows Updates released on the 4th to, and they are doing their part in also mitigating the situation. I hope you have checked your Windows for out of sequence update. Search out Intel this week for software patches for your chip, AMD has issues also, your cell phone, laptops, notebooks, everything.

Did you look for the shortcuts that were in the Toolbar (I would guess Bookmarks Toolbar in Bookmarks in it's own Folder in there called Bookmarks Toolbar where you can drag them all back out again.
So do not look like Chrome
