I just switched from Chrome to Firefox Focus. Very exciting. Looks great, feels light and quick.

One major issue: I had the Chrome Search Bar as a widget on my home page. This saves multiple steps since I can search there and it's immediately in my chosen browser window. Firefox Focus needs that. It also needs customization for whatever search engine added. ie: Duck Duck Go.

At the current click path, I have to open firefox focus and then search. Extra step. I also do not want an option of search in the embedded Android browser, copy the address, open firefox focus.

I'm not the only one asking for this, either. Your team is ignoring a rather simple option that many users are suffering without simply for wanting privacy and a small/quick browser.

Thank you.

Hi

Thank you for your question. This is not currently a feature of Firefox Focus for Android, but is something that may be included in a future release.

In the meantime, if there is a search provider you wish to use directly from the home screen in Android, open their page in Firefox Focus for Android, select the three dot menu in the top right of the screen and choose Add to Home screen. This will add a direct shortcut to that page to the Android home screen.

I hope that this helps.
