I'm using Firefox Sync but want to have unique startup/home pages for each device I use it on

I've recently added Firefox Sync between all my devices and am really liking it except for one annoying thing: I use a custom home page (with all my handy most-used links on it) loaded from a file on startup.

The trouble is, this synced startup page file looks like it's in a different location on different computers - even if I put it in Dropbox (which was my previous solution before using Firefox Sync).

Is there any way I can have an independent home page option per device and still retain all the other sync options?

This will disable the synchronization of your Homepage to the Sync server.

In about:config try toggling the preference services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.startup.homepage to false on the laptop / desktop devices. Sorry, not familiar with "mobile" Firefox.

Hi!, Zed, I think this will be help you...

1. Click the menu button in the top right corner. 2. Click "Sign in to Sync." 3. Click Create Account. 4. Enter an email address, password and your age, and click Create account. 5. Click Save settings. Uncheck the boxes next to any content you don't want to sync. 6. Click Open to navigate to your email account. 7. Click Activate now.

Hey the-edmeister, thanks a lot for that!

I just wanted to point out that the about:config options appear to be synced as well, so it looks like you only have to change that preference on one app browser and it appears toggled to "false" in all other synced browsers.
