I decided to get Firefox on my Android device because I switched to Firefox on my windows PC. After I logged in on my phone, I got logged off on my PC and it prompted to sign in to enable sync. Whenever i'd input the 2 factor authentication code it would just tell me that my email "just returned". what does this mean and how can I fix it? my email is a normal Gmail account working perfectly fine.

If the email actually isn't bouncing, there are a couple of common reasons that Firefox may think that the email bounced.

Certain email providers seem to send a failure message back to Firefox, even if the email goes through. This is most common (I find) with AOL and Yahoo email addresses.

Other than that, vacation replies or other automatic replies that you have setup on your email address can also cause the Firefox Account system to treat it as a bounced email, since it assumes that the automatic reply is an error message. The easiest way to fix this is to temporarily disable any automatic replies.

Hope this helps.

I'm using googles gmail, and i don't have an auto reply set... the messages aren't going to spam, they just aren't appearing. do you think I'm on some sort of email blacklist, and if so will it be reset soon?
