Firefox cannot download updates
Every day I get a Firefox popup that says, "Firefox cannot download the latest version. Download the latest version and we will help you install it". Sometimes the popup appears immediately after I open my browesr, and sometimes it appears after I've been using the browser for several hours.
I've been doing the daily download and install, but I want to know what's causing this. I'm using a Late 2015 21.5" iMac running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7. Firefox is Version 82.0b4, set as default browser with automatic updates turned on. I've been running Beta versions of Firefox for >2 years and have not had problems with updates before this. Thanks for any suggestions and solutions!

If you have trouble with the upgrade, use this link; http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
I'm not having any problems with the download and install process. I'd like to find out why the automatic update process has stopped working. I shouldn't have to be doing a manual download and update so frequently.
The link http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ takes me to Firefox 81, but I would prefer to keep running the Beta 82.
Thanks!
As it's a beta version, there could be problems with it. Beta, Developer, Nightly versions https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
Firefox 82.0b4 is the current Beta release. If you are on the beta or aurora (DE) update channel then you receive updates twice a week. See Firefox -> About Firefox.
You can only update if you have write permission for the Firefox installation folder, so it looks that you lack this write permission if you aren't able to update. See the about:support page for a button to go to location of the Firefox binary: "Application Basics -> Application Binary"
