After the last update of Thunderbird on Kubuntu 24.04 I'm no longer able to attach any files, open any attachments or open any URL links in emails. Any ideas why I'm not longer able to do this and how to fix it?

I can paste images in an email, but not attach any files.

You might want to follow up the decision by Cannonical to use SNAP packages in their latest release of Ubuntu and it's spinoffs of which Kubutu is one. The SNAP packages appear to be sandboxed without appropriate exceptions for a mail client to actually function.

One solution may be to use a Flatpak from the Thunderbird.net web site instead.
