How do I delete a message from ATT's server WITHOUT reading it, just remove it THERE?

I'd like to delete certain obnoxious email feeds from the server [AT&T] upstream at the server, WITHOUT downloading them. These are email messages that don't have an "unsubscribe" feature added. I want to make them GONE, without having anything further to do with them, or the "organizations" these sending represent. Any advice would be welcome. The option "Delete from POP3 Server" doesn't do the job [and may be the wrong thing; I don't know].

Thankx!

really Thunderbird as a mail client downloads mail. It can filter mail, and delete using a filter, but first it has to fetch the email so it can be filtered.

If you insist on doing it server side, look at a server rule, perhaps block the sender using yahoos facilities for that (ATT mail addresses are just yahoo). You could also look as spam filtering products like mailwasher.
