Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page. Filter = general.useragent.extra.firefox Right-click that preference and select Reset Then restart Firefox

You could start by updating Firefox to version 3.6.3 Update Firefox to the latest release

Please let me know if the problem persists when you update

I do have and have had ver3.6.3.Not sure why it says 2.0.0.17 Is it possible to have two versions of Firefox? My add/Delete programs say no just the one 3.6.3.

For whatever reason it doesn't crash anymore.

I am downloading Thunderbird and hope it works,

Thanks,Tim

I was having this same problem, but I found that if you simply close the email with the X provided by aol (gray square with a white X in the top right corner but to the left of the ad) instead of the X on the outside that you would normally use to close a browser window, then the problem doesn't happen.

Hi,

I was able to solve this problem by updating Firefox to version 9.0.1

Thanks!
