When my PC crashed, I decided to upgrade my system. Buy a new processor, motherboard, etc. And upgraded up to WIN 7.

I would have saved the bookmarks, but because it crashed unexpectedly, I didn't have a chance to save them in another file or folder.

There were bookmarks that were very important, and I can't recall a majority of the bookmarks. PLEASE HELP

You may be able to recover the data, it depends upon whether the old profile folder has been deleted.

First set Windows 7 to view hidden files and folders, for details of how to do that see http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/394-hidden-files-folders-show-hide.html

Now search your computer for a file called places.sqlite, you should find a copy in your current profile folder. If you find more than one copy you may be able to retrieve your old bookmarks.

With Firefox closed, rename the places.sqlite file in your current profile folder to places.sqlite.old, then copy the other places.sqlite file into the current profile folder. That should bring back the old bookmarks.
