I get error messages that the page cannot be loaded when I try to go to Amazon or Paypal. I had trouble with Internet Explorer saying I had connection problems on these two pages so I tried your browser instead. Same problem. The Page Info says there is no owner and the data is not encrypted and that's why I cannot open those sites. However, Firefox uses both of these sites in their training documents/video on Security.

Make sure that your security software isn't blocking access.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
