When I enter my username & password on magellangps.com it rejects it and asks me to log in again & again. It's only this web site & Firefox. IE works fine.

When I enter my username & password on magellangps.com it rejects it and asks me to log in again over & over. I have no problem opening the site and using it, but I can't use my account unless I log in. It's only this web site & only using Firefox. I have no problems logging in using IE.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Alas, no luck. Did as you suggested & reloaded but the problem remains. IE still works OK. Bummer! Could there be something about the site itself that is not compatible with Firefox?

If I click the Login link then I'm redirected to https://checkout.netsuite.com If you didn't clear the cookies from that domain then delete those.

You may need to enable third-party cookies.

I can't find anything resembling checkout.netsuite in my cookies & my third party cookies are enabled. This problem is too weird. I'm going to send a message to Magellan support to see if any of their other customers have complained of this problem. Thank you for your suggestions. I'm still open for more.

You can try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window to see if some are interfering.

I did the reset to defaults but it didn't help. Then I looked at the Error Console under Tools. I found a slew of Warnings referring to checkout.netsuite.com that appear to be related to formatting. There were also five Messages that read, checkout.netsuite.com : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555 I did a Google search on the message & found a lot of info. It seems to have something to do with a protocol (RFC 5746) that if the initial handshake with a server doesn't work it "renegotiates" the handshake. I quote: " * Mozilla will start the initial negotiation

   * it will advertise support for the new protocol version
   * it will allow the connection regardless of server protocol support
   * should the server (or a MITM) request renegotiation, Mozilla will terminate the connection with an error message

The above defaults may break some client/server environments where a Server is still using old software and requires renegotiation. This is often being used when a server asks a client to present a certificate for authentication... " https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security:Renegotiation So it seems that Netsuite may not be up to date.
