I have asked the same question last week, and received a reply message with a link. Yet, it link didn't work. I still didn't get any reply. Again, my problem is:

I have been using Firefox for a while and generally am happy with it. It is compatible with more sites than Safari, and was faster than Safari until 3.5. Yet, it has become very slow, and hanging on something unknown start up processes. I have reinstalled the products many times, and problem still here. I am make the last attempt, before I delete this program from my computer for good. Please help. I am on OS 10.6.6.

If Firefox is fast in safe mode, then the problem might be caused by one of your extensions, you can troubleshoot them. If the issue still takes place in safe mode, please try a new profile and check for the issue there.
