Can a profile from FF on PC be used in FF on Mac?
I have copied a profile from PC to PC (easy) and have no problem finding the profile folder on the Mac, but when I put my old profile in FF on Mac, it disabled FF with the error that FF is already running. I had closed FF and shut it down before starting. Is it possible to use a PC FF profile on FF in Mac?

It is best to create a new default profile on your Mac and only copy the files that you need like bookmarks and passwords. Some files can cause problems. You probably only copied the profile folder and not the files profiles.ini that Firefox uses to find profiles.

Thank you so much for such a fast response. I am reading the information now and taking notes. It is so late I will try to do the corrections in the morning, but you are right, I only copied over the profile folder. I guess it worked so well on the last two transfers because everything about those computers was the same, including my user account name and the OS. I'll be back in the morning to let you know how it goes, but from what I have read so far it looks like this will fix it. Thank you.
Thank you, that fixed it and it was smooth and easy. I need to go get a few plugins and extensions but didn't want to chance moving over outdated settings. The profile I was copying from is out of a PC that died last December.
