This is the second time I have found that Firefox 5 has reverted back to version 3.6.18. I've also been experiencing problems when I shut down at the end of a session - it seems to hang - but not sure whether this has anything to do with the firefox programme.

Uninstall Firefox. Search Firefox in your Windows drive (C:\) and DELETE all Firefox folders found in the search.

-> start RUN in Start Menu -> type regedit and press enter -> On left sidebar Double-Click My Computer -> Five folders will be displayed.

Right-Click each folder -> select "Find..." -> Type Firefox and place Checkmarks on all options provided -> in Left Sidebar a Firefox folder will be visible -> DELETE Firefox folder -> go back to top

Repeat this process on all the Five main folders opened from My Computer until you don't find any more Firefox folders in the Registry Editor window.

Now Restart your computer and re-download Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/

Check and tell if its working.
