I use a Dell inspiron laptop computer. Haven't used a "print screen" button in years. But now I may have to be able to capture what is on the screen ( going back to school on-line). Have found info about a 'snipping tool', but that must be with another browser. Cannot find it here in Firefox. Please help me. School says "Firefox" is the One to use, but need this little helper tool.

The "Snipping Tool" is a Windows feature, although it is unavailable in some Vista editions. If you have it, Snipping Tool should be available from the Start Menu.

If you just need to capture what is on the screen, the Print Screen key should still serve you. Once you press it, a picture of the screen is kept on the Clipboard. You can then Paste it in to an image editor (Paint, for example) and Save it.

If you need to capture a webpage, rather than your whole screen, then there are numerous add-ons that can assist. Here's an example: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/awesome-screenshot-capture-/

there's also several (free to download) little programs that can make screen prints...as for instance there's one (easy to use) called MWsnaps (http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html) ...

There are also extensions that can save an entire page as an image file.
