Hi marzy-

It is important to set your Firefox preferences for file downloads. You cannot block yourself from downloading any files. However, you can set your Preferences to always ask where to save the file- allowing you to then cancel the download anytime the process begins.

Steps to set Preferences:

  • Open Firefox
  • Open Firefox menu > select Preferences
  • Under 'Downloads' select radio button for 'Always ask me where to save files'
  • Your preference has been set, you can now close the window

Hope that helps!
