I attempted the about:config keyword URL process to remove Yahoo! from my tool bar search. This hijacked my browser, and even when I uninstall and reinstall firefox/chrome it still appears. I HATE YAHOO hijacking my search bar..the results are HORRIBLE and they should NOT be allowed to do this without user agreement. The fact you include it automatically as a search option should be re-considered. This is HIGHLY unethical for them to do this. I do not want to have any Yahoo! products or software on my system they are NOT trustworthy anymore.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
