yahoo mail has stopped working with ff, but ok with safari?

more options

Yahoo mail home page is mostly blank, and the options dropdown tab just reverts to the mail home page again. In the small mail inbox window on the same page, I can see messages, but when I ask to see the whole message, the almost blank page opens again. None of my contacts or folders are visible either. However everything seems ok on Safari. What's going on? I've been using Firefox for mac and Yahoo's home page for years. I've updated to FF 9.0.1 and tried all the troubleshooting I could find; no joy. Also, I've discovered that the RSS feed on the BBC is corrupted, and, some other of my regular websites are not loading properly as usual
