Can't install the flash-plugin. (I do not have administrator rights - work...) In former versions I hadn't this problem I think...

I can't install the flash-plugin... This, beacous I don't have installator rights... Earlier, in other versions of Firefox i could realy install this like other plugins. Frequently it was updated by other plugins... The flash-player (for Microsoft Explorer) is up to date... (supported by our helpdesk) - I could not ask the question at our helpdesk...

If your helpdesk allows Firefox, they really need to allow Flash updates for the Firefox plugin.

If you download the Flash plugin installer and try to install it outside the browser, does that work any better?

Before hitting download, make sure to uncheck the box for the tag-along software of the day to avoid complicating things.

You can create a plugins folder in the Firefox Profile Folder and copy the plugin file for Firefox (NPSWF32.DLL) to that folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
