Firefox does not show any installed printers

more options

I am running firefox 11.0 on Debian testing (Linux version 3.1.0-1-amd64 (Debian 3.1.8-2) (ben@decadent.org.uk) (gcc version 4.6.2 (Debian 4.6.2-11)), and all the 32bit libraries. I have cups 1.5.2 installed and a networked printer (hp L7680) using hplip. I can print from other browsers (chrome, opera, epiphany) and libreoffice. When I try to print from firefox, there are no printers in the printer dialog, not even print to file. How do I enable printing in firefox?

Thanks,

Mark

As a follow up, I went through the process of resetting all printer functions in firefox (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Firefox%20prints%20incorrectly?s=no+printers+found&r=3&e=es&as=s), and restarted firefox. There was not change - still no printers in the printer dialog.
