Several months ago I upgraded to Firefox 10.0.1 and ever since I could not get any videos to play on Vimeo, just a blank space. Today I searched Google for a solution and found a recommendation that said to change the value for "dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll" to "true" in Firefox about:config. This did not solve the problem and instead caused Firefox to freeze every time a flash video started to play on any site (e,g. YouTube). I then tried the following: - Changed the value back to "false", closed and re-opened Firefox - did not help - Updated the Flash plugin to the latest version - did not help - Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox - did not help I had no problems playing flash videos before (with the exception of Vimeo, which never worked) and now, not only can I not play them, Firefox freezes every time one starts to play. What the heck is going on?

Do you have the 32 bit version of the Flash plugin?

You can find the 32 bit version of the Flash Player installer for a 32 bit Firefox version here (scroll down to Flash Player (32 bit)):
