Why are you looking for your recovery key? Are you trying to recovery your desktop bookmarks?

If your desktop is setup for Sync the key will be listed in the Options > Security > Saved Passwords > Show passwords (Mozilla Services Encryption Passphrase)

No actually NOT on a desktop. As I've stated using my Android phone and trying to sync Foxfire on it. In order to do this, one of the questions is asking me for a recovery key number, I don't know where to retieve this number from ??? This has become VERY frustrating and ready to give up. Can you help ??? THANK YOU.....

Hi Linda,

You should be able to use the easy code provided by your phone and use it in your computer. Do you have a computer already in Sync?

You need a computer set up with Sync in order to use Firefox Sync in your phone.

Check the instructions about how to set up both devices in this article: How do I set up Sync on my computer?

Been a long time but hopefully you figured it out by now if by chance not or anyone else is viewing this due to the same issue. Fastest way to get Recovery Key Options-Sync at this point there will be a little drop down above your user name that says manage account, click on that and Recovery Key is in the list when you open it you can reset it print it, save it to file whatever you need. Hope this helps someone. Have fun happy inter-netting Rhondar35

There is no such thing as "manage account" anywhere, neither on the desktop or mobile version. all i get when when clicking on sync is the same three little boxes pre-filled with some useless codes on both browsers. neither one will allow to change the codes so that they match. and nowhere is there any reference to the elusive and unnecessary recovery key. why can't firefox just follow the same setup method as xmarks and chrome (log in to the browser with your email and password)?

Hi Turboluis!

Your case is different. You need to set up your account first. Take a look to this article and follow the steps are they are explained there: How do I set up Sync on my computer?
