scroll bar automation
like to see a button at the very top of the scroll bar and a button at the very bottom of it to assist us in jumping to the very top or the very bottom of long webpages.
thanks.

hello, in case your keyboard has home/end keys, you could use those as workarounds.
true. but that's too much work :-)
i did however find the feedback menu option under the help. so i submitted the idea to the feedback people after i posted the question.
thanks again!

You can middle click the scroll bar to jump to a specific position if you set the middlemouse.scrollbarPosition pref to true on the about:config page (default on Linux, but not on Windows)
ok.
i went to about:config and changed the attribute from false to true.
but when i middle click the mouse button on the scroll bar nothing happens.
you may have to restart the browser once for the setting to take effect (&your mouse driver shouldn't overlay the middle mouse button with another function than a plain middle click)
Yes, that is stated in the Caveats: Changes to the preference only take effect after restart.
oh, i see now.
in other words i can position my mouse on the top or bottom of the scroll bar, then click the middle button to jump to those locations.
thanks for the info.
between the add-on and this setting, i now have two ways that fixed my problem.
In normal Windows scroll bars there is a right-click context menu of the scroll bar to jump to the top and bottom, but Firefox doesn't support that feature.
thank you both for both of your solutions!
