Restart in safe mode fixes my problems. How do I diagnose the source of the problem?

Drop down menus do not work. I type and nothing shows in the drop down box. I select something and Firefox hangs without showing the selection. If I maximize to full page it responds. If I type in the same or another drop down menu, again it doesn't work, until I minimize the page.

Restart Firefox in SAFE MODE and all works properly. Restart in regular mode and problems re-appear. How do I diagnose what is causing the problem?

Turning off the accelerator fixed the problem. No updates at MS I'll look into the Dell site to see about updates, then on to the card mfgr.

Thanks, this has been "bugging" my system for some time. I never considered Hardware accel.

Thanks!
