The colors for my Google Calendar have disappeared. I can see them with Safari and Chrome, but not with Firefox.

I am using Windows 7. I tried deleting cookies and cache. Nothing changed. There is no similar problem with any other browsers: Safari, Chrome or Internet Explorer. I have rebooted my computer. I had to send this from Chrome because Firefox did not load your website properly after numerous attempts. The colors seem to be washed out at every site. Is there an easy way to restore colors?

Thank you.

Firefox adapts reasonably well to most Windows 7 themes, but in some cases, there may be glitches, particularly with "high contrast" themes.

Are you allowing websites to specify their colors, or overriding them? That's a setting you can change in the Options.

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Content

Click the "Colors" button and make sure the box is checked for "Allow pages to choose their own colors"

In case this issue is caused by an add-on, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

If Firefox doesn't switch to the default theme, you might need to switch that on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Appearance.

Any difference?

Thank you. I have never had this problem before and don't know how it changed all of sudden. But it worked to go into Options.
