It stopped working with 21.0, but the suggested workaround worked. However, from 22.0 forward, the client will not launch. It works fine in IE. I am using Citirx ICA Client 12.1. It is listed in my Firefox plug-ins with "always activate". I am hesitant to uninstall it and try Citrix Reciever, as I depend on it to work from home and I'd be screwed if I couldn't access my work PC. When will Firefox be fixing this issue? It's been over 4 months and 4 releases now. I have Windows 7 OS and currently have to use IE 10 to run Citrix, but I hate IE and don't want to have to use it at all.

In other threads, users have described the following steps to get the ICA plugin working:

(1) Upgrade the plugin to version 12.3

This page was referenced in another thread and I have not tested the download personally: CTX133066 - 12.3 Online Plug-In - Issues Fixed in This Release - Citrix Knowledge Center.

(2) If it doesn't work, switch the application preference as follows:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Applications

Search for or scroll down to where Citrix ICA Client appears in the left column. In the right column, change the application designated to handle this type of content from: "use Citrix ICA Client (in Firefox)" to "Use Citrix (default)".

Users in other threads have said that Receiver works, but is very slow to launch.

Thanks, but I don't think installing 12.3 will help; the "fixes" listed have nothing to do with the Firefox issue, which didn't begin until 6 months after 12.3 was released. I have already tried changing the application from "use Citrix ICA Client (in Firefox)" to "Use Citrix (default)" and it makes no difference. As I stated in my original post, I am hesitant to install something other than 12.1, which at least works with IE, since I HAVE to have it to access my work computer. I tried receiver on another PC and it was too slow to be useful. Mozilla really needs to address the problem and fix whatever is causing the plug-in not to work as of 22.0. I can't believe it's been broken since August and they still haven't addressed this.

I'm just reporting what other Citrix ICA users have said.

I'm not sure it makes sense to spend a lot of time changing Firefox to support an obsolete version of a legacy (no longer supported by its publisher) plugin. Sorry.

This worked for me: orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Applications

Search for or scroll down to where Citrix ICA Client appears in the left column.

In the right column, click on "Use Other", then click on "Browse" and go to "Program Files" , "Citrix" , "ICA Client" , and select "wfica32"

Working for me on Firefox 27.0.0.1 and Citrix Web Client Plugin 12.1

Haven't figured out yet how to make Firefox see that the citrix client is installed every time, but if you click on already installed , it does launch the published desktop.
