Mozilla Firefox had been work well but now it has just started to crash immediately on starting it. It only stays open for 1 or 2 seconds so I have no time to change any settings in Firefox. Can you tell me the source of the problem from the crash ID?

hello leggat, can you get firefox to start-up in safemode by pressing the shift key while firefox is launching?

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode

the crash seems to be related to graphics stuff and mozilla's developers are aware of it and working on a fix. if you can get the browser to start in safe mode, you might want to try disabling hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general.

Hello philipp,

Thank you. PROBLEM SOLVED! It makes sense that it is a graphics issue. Previously I have had intermittent "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" crashes. Less frequent recently. You say Mozilla developers working graphics issues. Must have developed a fix overnight. Working now, crashed all the time yesterday up until last night.

I had been searching for leads to the problem. My drivers were all up to date. I'll know where to start if this happens again. Sorry to have troubled you.

Many thanks, Craig
