I archived a bunch of emails on a yahoo account that I had connected with Thunderbird. I later disconnected the Yahoo account from Thunderbird, now I cannot find the archived emails anywhere, I assumed yahoo had a similar archive system that Thunderbird was synced with...but that does not appear to be the case. How should I go about finding the archived messages?

Please help. Thank you.

Was the yahoo account a POP or IMAP mail account?

When you archive emails, they are moved into the 'Archives folder and use the settings you set up in 'Archive Options' and the Account Settings > Copies & Folders for mail account. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/archived-messages

So, archived emails are still in the mail account viewable via the Folder Pane.

If you had an IMAP mail account, then it should have used the IMAP Archive folder, which you would have had to subscribe to see. These emails should still be viewable via webmail. If your settings selected to Archive in Local Folders special account - outside of the POP or IMAP mail account then they should still be in Local Folders in Thunderbird.

If you deleted the mail account, then you will not see the Archive folder in Thunderbird.

You could try to recover the deleted mail account:
