The first observation was today. If I enter a web page address Firefox deletes the address after pressing enter and nothing else happens. There is no error message. It is not frozen and the cursor is always blinking. This happens using either the address filed or the search field of the Firefox start page. The Internet Explorer has no problem opening the pages I tried with Firefox. I have removed Firefox using the Geek Uninstaller and installed the latest version. No change. I am using Win 7 64 bit and no proxy.

You can check in the the Windows Control Panel if you can find "NVIDIA Network Access Manager" or "NVIDIA ForceWare Network Access Manager" and uninstall this software.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift (Mac: Options) key to see if that helps.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that has effect.

The removal of the NVIDIA Network Access Manager solved the problem. Thank you very much!
