A popup came on my computer saying "Want to make Firefox faster" So I clicked on it. But then all my previous info was put into a folder. Can't get Firefox now.

The question was so long so maybe it can't be read. I will finish the part you can't see. When i click on the Firefox icon now it just says I can't be connected because there is nothing there. Help ! Also all my info was put into a folder which I can see on my homescreen that says something like previous info "firefox"

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

It's possible the Refresh process did not run to completion, because what should happen is that you get a new settings (profile) folder with a partial set of your previous information.

The Refresh may not run to completion if your disk space is very low, or if you or Windows interrupts it.

At this point, I think you may want to "roll back" the Refresh. You can find the steps in this post: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1098179#answer-815712
