I looked at my Privacy settings, then showed all cookies. There are several, but I wanted to keep a few. I clicked on one, then pressed SHIFT to click another, but no luck. So I pressed CONTROL while clicking, and still no luck. The button choices are to delete all or selected. Call me naive, but I assumed Selected includes one or more. This is fairly universal on the Internet, within APPs, etc..

I read HELP, and it looks like it's limited to just ONE cookie at a time or ALL cookies. Firefox, please enhance the functioning so SHIFT key can select more than one cookie to delete.

thank you pizazz

The Cookie Manager is the window that opens if you click the "Show Cookies" button on "Options/Preferences > Privacy" (about:preferences#privacy).

You can resize various pop-up windows like you get for cookies and passwords if you place the mouse pointer in the bottom right corner. To be able to fully expand this window you can temporarily switch to Full Screen mode (F11) and drag the border to make the window as large as possible. Look for a close X in the top right corner or use Ctrl+W if you can't find the close or confirm button.

Select all cookies that you want to remove via Shift (range) or Ctrl (individual) and pres the Delete key to remove the selected cookies. You can type a '.' in the search bar in the Cookie Manager to list all cookies.

The last part of cor-el's reply really is the first step: type a period into the search box at the top (or other text to match) to get a standard list -- where multi-selection works normally -- instead of the "tree diagram" list where it doesn't.

cor-el & jscher, I don't even see a Cookie Manager anywhere. not in menu bar. or in Options-Privacy, which is the only place I know.

Thanks cor-el, never heard or saw it labeled as Cookie Manager, but we were both talking about the same place. didn't know about the "," but I'll never remember it. I don't know how you folks remember all these details.

The way I go in, it displays a folder for each site. I never noticed that before. Click and then it shows the various cookies per site, which is what you see when doing the "."

Unfortunately, FF won't let you delete multiples UNLESS you do the "." I think that's terrible of FF. Causes one a lot of work doing them individually, and how is one to even know about the "." they should program for the average layperson and make it intuitive.

FF, I sure hope you improve it.

thank you, jscher 2000. you and cor-el sure know the ins and out of FF. But I will never remember something like having to enter ",". And I'm asking FF to improve the functioning and make it intuitive. One should be able to accomplish this without having to remember such a detail as entering "."

Note that it is a dot (period) and not a comma that you can type as a common character in the search bar. Just see it as a domain (URL) like mozilla.org that contains a '.' as separator. In the Bookmarks Manager (Library) you can also use a colon (:) like you see in the protocol (http:) as separator.

All website domains usually contain this dot character, so all cookies are listed if you type a common character.

oops, I see I did type a comma by mistake. I did a few times and thought I caught them all.

thank you, cor-el
