For six days now my thunderbird client won't connect to the mail servers this error message pops up when i click on inbox of any email address as I have several differant accounts from differant email providers I have been using thunderbird with the same accounts for several years without problems (Could not connect to server (any of my email addresses) the connection was refused) I am running windows 10 o/s, I believe that thunderbird updated last week, could it be that update has caused a problem, Hammy100.

some doozy issues here for sending, but you do not mention that.

Receiving.

First web plus.

They say here http://support.serif.com/kb/a554/how-to-use-your-webplus_net-email-address-with-other.aspx

First you'll need to collect the following information:

Username (this is your email address)
   Password
   Incoming mail server* i.e. mail.yourdomainname.com
   Outgoing mail server* i.e. mail.yourdomainname.com
  • If you've got the silver hosting package, your incoming and outgoing mail server will be mail.webplus.net.

Depending on how you want to send and receive your emails, you will need to choose an account type: POP3 or IMAP. Once you've decided which one you want to use, please make a note of the following port numbers:

   POP3: Incoming port 110, Outgoing port 25
IMAP: Incoming port 143, Outgoing port 25

So accounts 8 and 9 need to have both their incoming and outgoing server information corrected in account settings.

Account 10 need to have it's incoming and outgoing settings corrected as per https://support.gmx.com/pop-imap/imap/server.html

Account 12 needs to have it's outgoing server corrected to use the same server settings as account 13, but not the same username. So an additional outgoing server will probably have to be created.

Incoming server setting are in server settings. Outgoing server settings are in outgoing server (SMTP) The outgoing server used by an account is specified in the general account information above server settings in the list. (you click the account name.)

Once all that is corrected, perhaps it will work, unless there is something else wrong, like AVG screwing up.

I'm having the same problem trying to enter my google details on Thunderbird. I use Windows defender? The Google sign in box pops up but will not move on with the next prompt after entering my email address. Hence can't connect to gmail server.
