How can I sync my addresses and local folders on Thunderbird across two computers?
I've been using Thunderbird on my desktop for years, and have a number of local folders on it, along with the Thunderbird address book. I just purchased a laptop and have installed Thunderbird onto it. It's downloading emails from my server (GoDaddy). How can I get it to access the local folders and addresses from Thunderbird on the desktop?

to remote desktop to a machine, you need to know its network address, so either 1. an IP address or 2. a domain name.
You can get
1. on the remote computer running ipconfig in a CMD/DOS window and see the IPv4 address, or from the network adapter details
2. getting domain name depends on your network

Not sure what exactly you want to achieve, 1) a one time copy of all your data from the desktop to the laptop computer, or 2) permanent synchronization between the two computers?
The latter isn't possible for Local Folders. For address books you'd need to sync both via a server, e.g. like Google Contacts. Please clarify.
Alternatively, remote desktop from laptop into desktop and not need to worry about syncing anything.
Thanks for the responses! Wayne Mery, I'm not sure what you mean? How do I remote desktop from laptop into desktop?
