Can't get google to stop saving searches on firefox for android
Hi, Having a small issue with the google webpage when viewing on firefox on my Huawei P30 Pro.
I previously had a Samsung S8+ an had the same setup on that, android 9.0, latest version of firefox and the same bookmarks that are synced to my account, I didn't have this issue on the S8+ though.
Basically when i'm on google and signed in on my P30 Pro google keeps constantly saving my searches and showing previous searches every time i tap on the search box, this is even though in my account it clearly shows as paused and not saving searches..
I have tried clearing the cookies stored for google and even though when i clear them it then logs me out of my google account, when i log back in it still carries on saving the searches.
I still have my S8+ and if i turn that on and go to google the searches are still off and don't show.
I really can't work out why it just won't work as it should on my new phone?
has anyone got any way they think i can do it? i don't really want to remove the google bookmark as i have my bookmarks in the order i want them and theres no option in firefox to re-sort your bookmarks like in most other browsers.
Thanks
James

anyone please?
Hi
I think I know what may be happening. When you are searching, the history is being saved in the keyboard app you are using.
To clear this history, open the Android settings app (typically a cogwheel icon) and navigate to Aplications. Find the keyboard app (the default is GBoard) and select it. If you Clear Data, you will clear the apps history and settings - taking it back to a default state and clearing its history of what you have typed previously.
I hope this helps.
No, this didn't sort my issue. thank you for trying to help though.
You could delete your google activities by going to Google My Activity
