Firefox Add-Ons- Browser Not Recognized
Hi there, I'm using a mac laptop with firefox (up to date) and when I try to download add ons from mozilla's site it doesn't recognize I'm using firefox and prompts me to download firefox instead of any add ons. I have done this and my problem is still there- I can't download add ons and mozilla keeps asking me to download firefox. What's wrong?

Do you use any extensions that modify the user agent string?

According to your More System Details on right your Firefox User Agent appears to be modified.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:79.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/79.0/6K5mXZMb-59
The /6K5mXZMb-59 is not part of default UA.

Doesn't seem like it worked, I went through and manually deleted literally everything that was changed and it still looks like this.

Did you reset general.useragent prefs on the about:config page ?
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

Thank you, this was the winner! It took deleting and restarting several times to realize it wasn't an add-on, it was an anti tracking software blocking me. (Avast, if anyone is curious).
